About me
Last time: I'm on the board of NYCC as "Webmaster". This year I'm running for Director of Technology. For a single reason: to improve the club's website. Read it here.
I've spent thirty-plus years building digital systems in finance, payments, and insurance: systems that serve more than 100,000 users and move or manage billions of dollars. I've been responsible and have done the work as a developer, QA tester, product manager, UX designer, site reliability engineer, CTO, VP of engineering. All of that, just to summarize that I've been doing this kind of work and have deep and broad experience doing so.

I've been riding with NYCC for about five years, with a year off for an aging knee. As a volunteer I have:
- Helped plan the routes for Escape New York 2025
- Put the finishing touches on the volunteer rewards site that other volunteers built
- For Escape New York 2026, built eny.nycc.org, unifying the two separate sites we used to run. Moved ENY registration from BikeReg to Stripe
- Built an alternative version of the new website. See it at tools.nycc.org
- Submitted the motion, since passed unanimously, to create a D-Rides coordinator
- Reported eight critical, trivially exploitable security issues in the new website that the 2025 web committee was unaware of, and was going to deploy to the club and public
- Put forward the motion, since passed, to survey members on how the new site has been received
- Led the occasional ride
